When it comes to gift giving I’m kinda a pro! Cataloguing year round my loved ones interests, comments, and needs to give a practical but sentimental gift someone will actually use and it’s usually wrapped in my signature brown paper packaging, tied up with strings! (who knows that reference?) Now I’ve not actually participated in a “traditional” Christmas in years, typically opting for a solo Yule getaway. And while I’m not solo traveling this year and will be home to celebrate, I want to make sure to be even more intentional with my gift giving this year and give a middle finger to big stores and consumerism. AND I WANT YOU TO, TOO! We’re not buying anything new and we’re getting crafty!!! Here’s some ideas:

Speed Round:

• I think for someone special it would be super cute to thrift a book and annotate it with all your thoughts or notes for them to read as they read it. As a book lover it’s super intimate and special to share your thoughts with another <3
• custom lighters (did this at my 26th very fun craft!)
• decorated picture frames
• CD mixtape
• bag charms
• friendship bracelets
• thrifted & then decorated purses or wallets

Ultimately, with a trip to dollar tree or the craft store, some modge podge, E6000 glue, air dry clay, or a trip to the thrift store you could make anything super cute and custom for your loved ones.

💗 2025 Music Wrapped 💗

No spotify wrapped because I canceled all my subscriptions (and actual ditched spotify for quobuz over the summer) and also like who really cares….. 🥴 But I thought I’d share some music I discovered this year and what I had on repeat!!

AFTER – I discovered the trip pop duo and was immediately in love. Every song strikes a deep cord of nostalgia that I searched for hours trying to prove I had heard them on disney channel 20 years ago, I did not lol. I specifically had their self titled EP and the opening song “300 Dreams” on repeat. “300 Dreams” felt like it pierced directly through me articulating all the feelings I’ve been having this past year discovering new life paths and fearlessly embracing my inner child.

PRINCESS OF POWER (MARINA) – Long time Marina fan, all the way back to the OG Marina & The Diamonds lol, this album felt like a homecoming and Marina at the top of her game. Somehow no matter what she always seems to in a similar stage in life and can articulate the complex feelings. So much of this project captured what it feels like to be powerful, independent, creative, and live life on your own terms, but most importantly not apologize for doing it. Princess of Power, Butterfly, Rollercoaster, Adult Girl & Everybody Knows I’m Sad stayed on a loop in my car.
