Authoralexagonzalez : Okay, this chat feature not gonna lie looks hella cool. I might like it more then comments? What's the difference between chat and comments? How do you like it as a creator?
Ali Ann : Hi Alexa!!!! Okay so comments are for individual blog/pod posts and the chat is just for general stuff. In my head I'll put maybe weekly prompts in the chat box for engagement with everyone. I'm planning to upgrade eventually so that it can have direct message and send email notifications to use it to send updates
Authoralexagonzalez : That's so cool. Is the chat a plugin feature? This could be such a cool thing to have on my site. I'll have to investigate. But it's such a nice change to have something like this. I've been on the hunt for the cozy Internet space while creating my own. I'm glad to see they are coming back.

Ali Ann : Hi Alexa!! Not doing blogmas, sticking to a new post every Friday. I'm revamping the babblings' report (coming tomorrow!) and it will have a December schedule preview and I think I'll do that each month.

Authoralexagonzalez : I'm trying too. lol I'm getting my fiction and non fiction posts ready. I havent been huge into the Christmas spirit this year. Just now putting up my tree. I seriously love this little chat room! This feel's like old school AIM

Authoralexagonzalez : okay. I love, love, the updates to the website. How are You loving the website? Do you feel like your traffic has increased since moving from a Substack to your own personal website?
Ali Ann : @authoralexa thank you! It's been so fun to keep making tweaks and figure out what works and what doesn't. It took until mid-January (so about a month after launch) to get back to similar views as substack. Traffic has definitely increased the last 2 weeks, and now it's just engagement on posts that I'm wanting to get back to where I was growing on substack.

Ali Ann : Hi Gabby! I used wordpress, then searched for a long time to find a theme that allowed me the flexibility I wanted and then some light coding. About a year of trial and error lol!
