Hi babblers! Today has been a doozy and instead of journalling and posting later, I just needed to talk it out here. I don’t know if any of this made sense, but does the world? I wish my comrades joy and safety, if we ever meet I hope it’s in a new world.

I’m at the library. I’m supposed to be doing schoolwork, week 3 being back in school after 8 years. I was supposed to go to different coffee shops and restaurants to ask if they were hiring, but I forgot my resume copies at home. Things I’m supposed to be doing all day but I keep finding myself sitting and staring. At the wall, the steering wheel, now the lake view from the library windows. It’s so hard to focus knowing what happened in Minnesota this morning may be the tipping point that accelerates the path to civil war. I try to walk the thin line between not letting everything happening nationally and globally spike my nervous system and not becoming desensitized. But how can any of this matter when we are hurtling towards world ending events.

“LIVE FROM THE END TIMES” is meant to be cheeky, but it’s also real. And not in the biblical end times sense, but the fact the current world is ending, or the world that people thought they knew. We’re unfortunately in the decades or centuries long part of history where there is turmoil and fire before a new world is birthed. I wrote a post on instagram last week kinda ranting about the world and how I wish people would just be real, but mostly that I realized the I’m not just saying that I’m writing a primary source to leave for the future, like I actual am. We are in critical timeline moments that should be documented.

My theory has always been that if Trump’s administration and his predecessors continue to provoke states by overreaching federal power, escalating violence, and attacking major liberal cities we’re headed on the path to civil war. States separating into factions fighting each other and the government. The military divided and joining either side. I thought we’d maybe reach the point of escalation in 10 years. But today immigration enforcement officers executed another person on the street in Minneapolis. And why this right? It’s not necessarily the murder of another innocent, but what happens next. How will the administration handle this and how will Minnesota officials and the police respond. But the people will respond, they already are. People in Minneapolis pulled off the largest labor strike in like 60 years and have been in the streets in under 0 degree weather protesting, and as I write this protests continue to escalate. If the administration cites this as another casualty unfortunate but necessary for their operations it will fan the flame of the resistance. Which is most likely to happen. But how Minnesota as a state reacts will set a precedence for other states response to federal occupation and violence. The Chief of Police and local officers refusing the leave the scene when ordered by ICE to leave. Witnesses being detained. Minnesota state officials are going to have to decide to back their people or go against them. Either way Minnesota is clearly becoming ground zero for what will likely become nation wide resistance.

I texted my mom this:

But we’re not leaving. Something clicked inside me today, once and for all I’ve decided I’m going down with the ship. Whether that means I keep writing these blog posts to make sure what’s really happening is documented for the future or just to share information with people today. Or other things that I will not put online since we’re being monitored.

I have a few suggestions for you:

• list of addresses you can go to in the event you need flee
  • written down not digitally
  • you need to know how to get there not only without GPS but without taking major road ways
• long distance radios (they control cell towers)
• VPN to hide/change your location via the web
• document your own thoughts and feelings even in a journal
• talk with family and friends about each others skill, and who can do what in cases of emergencies or loss of resources (my aunt’s literally in bee keeping class right now)
• prepare for civil unrest in USA, but also understand climate change is the larger threat and a lot of this is to diminish the population and gain control because resources like water and food will become bigger commodities.
