  • babblings : let's chat!! Leave a message so I know you were here 🙂
  • Authoralexagonzalez : Okay, this chat feature not gonna lie looks hella cool. I might like it more then comments? What's the difference between chat and comments? How do you like it as a creator?
  • Ali Ann : Hi Alexa!!!! Okay so comments are for individual blog/pod posts and the chat is just for general stuff. In my head I'll put maybe weekly prompts in the chat box for engagement with everyone. I'm planning to upgrade eventually so that it can have direct message and send email notifications to use it to send updates
  • Authoralexagonzalez : That's so cool. Is the chat a plugin feature? This could be such a cool thing to have on my site. I'll have to investigate. But it's such a nice change to have something like this. I've been on the hunt for the cozy Internet space while creating my own. I'm glad to see they are coming back.
  • Ali Ann : Yes it's a plugin! Welcome, what's your site? Or if not done let me know when it is, I'm working to create a directory of other sites
  • Authoralexagonzalez : Hey, so my website is done.
  • Authoralexagonzalez : www.psychiclexi.com
  • Ali Ann : @authoralexagonzalez perf!
  • Ali Ann : test
  • Ali Ann : test
  • liafaye : wait this is actually so cool
  • liafaye : like the entire website
  • Ali Ann : thank you!!!
  • Authoralexagonzalez : Good Morning. I have a question. What are your blogging plans for December? Do you participate in blogmas?
  • Ali Ann : Hi Alexa!! Not doing blogmas, sticking to a new post every Friday. I'm revamping the babblings' report (coming tomorrow!) and it will have a December schedule preview and I think I'll do that each month.
  • Ali Ann : Are you doing blogmas??
  • Authoralexagonzalez : I'm trying too. lol I'm getting my fiction and non fiction posts ready. I havent been huge into the Christmas spirit this year. Just now putting up my tree. I seriously love this little chat room! This feel's like old school AIM
  • Ali Ann : Yes and I'm loving checking in a seeing you new messages it's so fun! I haven't been in the spirit the last few years and oddly this year I'm in a very nostalgic xmas mood lol. I will look out for your blog posts
  • Annie : I'm loving checking out this new site!
  • Authoralexagonzalez : okay. I love, love, the updates to the website. How are You loving the website? Do you feel like your traffic has increased since moving from a Substack to your own personal website?
  • Ali Ann : @authoralexa thank you! It's been so fun to keep making tweaks and figure out what works and what doesn't. It took until mid-January (so about a month after launch) to get back to similar views as substack. Traffic has definitely increased the last 2 weeks, and now it's just engagement on posts that I'm wanting to get back to where I was growing on substack.
  • gabby_talks2much : Hello! I'm curious on how you made your blog look so cool. PLS LMK
  • Ali Ann : Hi Gabby! I used wordpress, then searched for a long time to find a theme that allowed me the flexibility I wanted and then some light coding. About a year of trial and error lol!
  • gabby_talks2much : Thank you !!!
  • gossipline.org : cute
  • gossipline.org : First time on here! Trying to work this.
  • Ali Ann : WELCOME gossipline.org!!!
  • eaud3parfum : I love being transported back to the early 2000's! The music playing when I scrolled down was such a nice surprise 🙂 Love this website
  • Ali Ann : YAY!!! Welcome @eaud3parfum!!! cute profile pic!
  • Payge : Catching up on babblings right now. So obsessed.
  • Authoralexagonzalez : Okay! I'm back babblings! I'm catching up on blogs today and will be commenting. My question is how are you liking the site? How does it compare to having a Substack or paetron? Do you love it more? Would you go back to those platforms or would you spread far and wide if you had the opportunity to go back in time?
  • Ali Ann : @Authoralexagonzalez HI!! I'm so happy I moved to this site, it feels like me and I love seeing everyone enjoying it! I prefer it to other platforms because it's 100% mine and I've been able to keep growing and pretty successfully transfer the audience 🙂
  • Ali Ann : Eventually we will be updating the chat feature so we can get notified when someone leaves a message
  • Authoralexagonzalez : Also quick question? What chat plugin is this? I need it for my witchcraft people!!
  • Ali Ann : @authorlexagonzales its "Simple Ajax Chat" I really like it and with the upgrade there's a lot more features and customizing available
  • theweirdgirledit : Omg hi chat 😇 this is such a fun feature!
  • rock n roll babydoll : guys idk how to post smthh🎧
